I really liked the classes. Locations were interesting, I’ve seen many new places and had an opportunity to learn more about them. I enjoyed talking with my teacher and discussing some interesting aspects. It was both theoretical part where I was able to learn more and talk more fluently and practical part during when we saw some great places.

Nor did I really needed different locations since I’m familiar with NYC thanks to my long stays over the years. For the rest of it, I wanted to perfectionate my spoken English and I made the best of what is possible to achieve in two weeks. Improving my fluency, learning idioms, the way natives speak was useful and fun. I liked everything except the weather :))

We were a group of seven teenagers and that was good, because the teacher could help us all. The afternoons were great, because we were on our own, we could do whatever we wanted (with limits of course), and the activities were the best to do! We discovered so much!
I wasn’t in a host family, I was at a friend’s, so I don’t know how it feels like, but of course, we had work to do. I had two days to prepare a presentation on a random subject about NYC, and I was kind of stressed about it (I’m a stressed person in general), and we had a little bit of presure for the final test (but I understand we weren’t in vacation but here to work).
The locations were always great I loved it !
The teacher is amazing
I really liked the fact that we were not a lot of students, only 4. We could learn a lot in a small Amount of time
.
The outdoor classes is a really interesting concept. We could discover new places in New York every day. The hours of classes are perfect from 10 to 1.30, free afternoon to discover the city.
The level of classes was not very advanced though. If you are looking for advanced English, this program will probably not suit you
The housing is amazing +++, lovely family, perfect neighborhood. This was a really good point
I liked the classes size - 2-3 students, very intensive schedule. Teachers were very friendly and helpful, always willing to explain any queries or doubts. Fantastic location of the school. I liked Fridays - the summary of the week + program for the weekend and the coming week.

All day with a single teacher, its too much.
The classes were great (small like they promised), and the location was perfect. I didn't live in the shared student house, but I went there a couple of times and it was not clean.

The school was very nice and all the staff were very friendly, and this also includes the activity leaders and the teachers. The activities were very nice, and I enjoyed the workshops which took place twice a week. The host family was very nice and friendly. There was absolutely nothing I didn’t like.

Voir les détails » Lire plus...The teacher, the location and the facilities were wonderful but the classes were not my level. I think the grammar taught was too easy but I could learn some new vocabulary. The activities we did with the school were good. The location of the house was good because I could walk to the school but the problem was that my bedroom was next to a very noisy highway and I had to wear earplugs to sleep. Besides, I think the house wasn't clean enough. The owner of the house didn't want us to cook any meat at home because he is vegetarian. I think I should know that beforehand.

Here is the advice that we can provide to students regarding visas: We always recommend that students come on a proper visa and it’s up to the student to make that decision. While the majority of our students come on an F-1 student visa, some choose otherwise. Unless otherwise instructed by the authorities, at the present time LSI will accept enrolments of individuals in any course of study should they present themselves at the school with a visa other than an F-l. In this case, the individual assumes all responsibility for the maintenance of their legal immigration status in the United States.
Persons with Tourist Visas are allowed to study at the school if their reason for being in the US is tourism and their course is incidental to this.
The student should be aware that if he or she chooses to travel on a tourist visa or visa waiver but tells immigration that he or she is coming here to study, the immigration officer at the Port of Entry (airport) may ask for a student visa which the student does not have. In this case, the student may not be allowed entry to the United States.

Yes This is fine
Not too far, it’s about 30 minutes subway.
The easiest way to get to school is by subway. The residence is a 30 minute subway commute from the school. Students can purchase a weekly ($30) or monthly (£112) Unlimited Ride MetroCard from Subway Station Booths or Metro Card Vending Machines (prices may vary).
Well it's not close, it's about 1hour flight from NYC to buffalo and then another 30 minutes approx. driver to campus. It's pretty to close to Toronto with about 2 And hours.
Bear in mind please it's campus life and experience so it focuses a lot on learning and experiencing college life, so it features 2 different styles between Manhattan and Fredonia.
Since the students are
booking far in advance, the chances are higher, but unfortunately I still
can not guarantee that we can provide a private bathroom for them.
